Re: Sleeping on your bed
Ooooooh yes All night every night!! I don't mind so much if she lays longways down the bed but NO, she lays diagonally or curls up sideways wedging herself against both of us, while we cling to the edges of her bed

Re: Sleeping on your bed
Yep Misty sleeps only our (Her) bed. She sleeps curled up behind hubby knees. He doesn't move all night for fear of waking her. She doesn't tend to sleep near me as I'm terrible for kicking and talking in my sleep. The one rule hubby and I decided on when we got her was she wasn't allowed to sleep on the bed. Yep that worked out well we can't sleep without her now, when on holiday hubby didn't sleep for two weeks as he felt strange when actually letting his legs stretch out

Re: Sleeping on your bed
I have mia lengthways but lately she has been snuggling and settling herself at the back of my legs then during the night stands up removing the covers off the bottom then she comes has a sniff of my face looks to see my eyes are open and gives a wee kiss keeps.me warm in the winter but the summer irritating but wouldnt have it any other way. If I need the loo I come back she looks at me as she is lying where I was I then crawl to the meagre space thats left I then say night she then stands up and takes the covers and im left freezing.

Re: Sleeping on your bed
What's all this "On The bed" nonsence, more like In The bed.
It's not been my bed for a long time, it's his bed and I am allowed to share it.
Got used to sleeping in the 6 inch gap at the edge while the staffy takes up all of the rest of the bed.
If I get up in the night, when I return he will be in my spot and I have to sleep on his side of the bed. He just loves to sleep where I have been.
Regularly gets under the duvet and sleeps by my feet.
Love to know what he is dreaming about sometimes when his feet are twitching and he is barking in his sleep.

Re: Sleeping on your bed
I wish!! However, we only have a double bed and my OH is a 6ft body builder! I barely have any room as it is! However, he stays away with work/travelling regularly so I sneak Bug up then! She literally tries to spoon me, has to be at the top, head on a pillow! Soo snuggly when it's cold

Lol this sounds familiar! I have also bought a duvet the next size up cos Axl nicks it all!! We also end up on the edge with Axl wedged in a ball between us or spread out diagonally! I reckon they are conspiring against us on the "what have your pooch pals been up to" page!!

Re: Sleeping on your bed
Nope.... And a little bit yes.
We can't have Flo in with us as she makes too much noise what with the dreaming, scritchy scratching and snoring.
That is apart from the 5-10 mins each morning when she climbs two flights of stairs for a snuggle

Re: Sleeping on your bed
Awww you are all so lucky!! My boy used to sleep on my bed all the time until I moved in with my partner who wouldn't have it at all
Also we have two cats and the dog and cats do not mix (hmmm) so the cats retreat is upstairs and my boy has all of the downstairs.
It's not the situ I would choose at all but it's how it has to be for compromise He gets to sleep with me when I visit my parents on my own however, but I have to sleep in a single bed so, as you can imagine, no prizes for guessing who gets most of what bed there is lol!
I just love the way he cuddles up to me, even sometimes lying on the pillow beside me. He thinks he's my boyfriend haha! He's great at spooning too

Re: Sleeping on your bed
I can't even remember what it feels like to stretch out in bed anymore!
My bed is a single and no guesses what takes up the most space, honestly i've never known a dog to stretch out so much If he gets cold in the middle of the night he nudges me till I lift the cover up and let him get under Oh god and don't even get me started on the snoring!! The things we put up with for our dogs

MissyMoo sleeps in her crate from around 11pm but when we let her out at anywhere between 6and 7am for a pee she bolts straight up the stairs and first under the covers and then she collapses into a coma , she wouldn't move from there all day if you let her , just one more Staffy trait we all love

Re: Sleeping on your bed
Gizmo's currently lying widthways across the bed, bang in the centre, under the covers with his head poking out, snoring. Earlier he was barking and growling, all four legs going like the clappers. I moved my legs out of the way and he flipped over onto his back in an identical pose to the one Koda's modelling above.
Gotta love the dramatic Collapse of Exhaustion given by a dog who's basically been woken from his 30th nap of the day after a busy night's sleeping.

Re: Sleeping on your bed
Milo sleeps in his basket on the landing all night. When we had him as a 7mth old foster he was used to sleeping in his basket so that's how we kept it but as soon as I get up in the morning to let the chickens out he comes into bed with me under the duvet snuggled up warm and it's lovely. So cuddly. He then stays there for about an hour until OH gets up to take him for his walk. I literally have to push him out sometimes cos he wants to stay where he is bless him.

Awwww, I love it so much!! I have to get my Staffie bedtime snuggle fixes when I visit my parents and I just love it... and so does my boy! His little face when I say to him "are you coming to bed?" and he looks at me, starts wagging his tail and then dashes up the stairs and straight onto the bed... then I have a job getting it as he's pretty much snoring from the second he gets on it lol!
