Buddy has a bald patch! -pictures now attached ....
Buddy seems to have developed a bald patch on his side - its a bit bigger than a 50p piece and he seems to have a very tiny one dead centre of his back I thought it nay have been his harness rubbing but looked yesterday when it was on and they are no where near it, He isn't scratching or biting himself and they do not bother him.
Took him to the vets to get his wormer yesterday and the vet said he could take swabs but as the skin was not red or sore he thought maybe he had always had it but as he is growing it is just showing more - he said there was no infection or irritation so just to keep an eye and if it gets bigger he will do some tests
Has any one had this happen to their dogs - will it clear - everyone keeps asking me what's wrong with him.
can I rub anything on his skin to help the hair grow back ? I don't want a baldy Buddy
He lost his first two baby teeth yesterday ... and weighs 10.28 kg ..and he is five months today

Through time the bald patches may clear at least they aren't infected or itchy in any way. Quite oftrn mia gets a bald patch here and there and ive been told its a fluctuating thyroid this is due to her age . Has the dog undergone any major changes? Sometimes a little hair loss can be caused by a little stress . Hopefully these don't come to nothing and may just rectify themselves

Buddy has started puppy classes but he seems ok in them - he is teething badly - but other than that cant think of anything that has stressed him out .. will wait and see if it gets bigger..

My Flo had what they call "Hot spots" when we got her from Battersea and the looked like little bald spots but not sure if that was after treatment. They applied some sort of cream to clear them up which they did after a month or so Carol.

it could be from mites, its very very common in puppies and requires treatment or it will just get worse. Ziggy had it at 7 months and they did skin swabs and treated with injections for 8 weeks. Do you have a pic of it?

will try and get a picture the one on his back seems to be getting bigger but the one on his side seems to be the same - of all the many pictures I have not one of them has the side in it with the patch on - cant be his best side ! as soon as I get one I will post it - the vet didn't seem to concerned but its the fact they have just appeared that bothers me.in case there is something making him react in this way

this is what Buddies bald patches look like- the one on his side is bigger than it looks when he stretches out if it is probably the size of two 50p pieces next to each other - don't seem to be getting any bigger although the one on his back has to get to this size but hasn't got any bigger since ..I notice in the photos he does seem to have dry skin maybe that could be causing it - what can I do to help this he has Tuna once a week and a little cheese
