Learning to swim
Iza is teaching herself how too swim. She goes in the water lies down on the shallow bed and crawls along its so cute. Think she's getting ready for deeper water
So does your Staff like a swim?

Re: Learning to swim
Flo will if it's a dead calm sea. I don't think she's over confident with water to be honest but won't sink if she ends up in a stream
Sounds like Iza might be a bit of a water babe Col

Re: Learning to swim
Bug hated rain for the first 2 years, then tried it one day in a stream on a really sunny day - she was so rubbish at first bless her all over the place and big splashes! Now you can't get her out - she dives/belly flops in and will swim out really far (which is so nerve wracking for me!) and if you try to leave she cries and won't move! She swims up to the waves and rides back in on them
Sounds adorable Iza practising bless her! Mega cutie.

Re: Learning to swim
I haven't tried giz in a river or the sea yet. he does not appreciate water which is a real shame because i think it'd be great fun to swim.

That's something you'll have to video mate.
We're working on Theia in the sea and I think she's getting there but no swimming yet. We've even had her in the pool at the training centre we go to but she's not too keen. Floyd on the other hand was swimming mad!

Re: Learning to swim
Samba loves the water. We live in a freshwater area so he learnt to swim in freshwater creeks/rivers & he loves a good drink from them, but when we went to the coast afew months ago he thought it would be ok to drink that water how wrong he was, he was coughing & sneezing & shaking his head, i told him not to drink it!!!

Re: Learning to swim
I taught Chaos to swim and Millie is learning it's ok now. Chaos was also a puddle avoider to start off with but I like them to know that they can swim just in case they ever need it. He will now crash into water (I've got some fab pics) and loves racing Nola for ball.
Millie loathed hydrotherapy. She literally shook with fear despite every training technique I could think of. Surprisingly, though, she was ok paddling in puddles and at the edge of the sea. Then, about 2 weeks ago, she decided to follow Nola in when the tide was really high and hasn't looked back since. Nola, being a lab/retriever, can't get enough of the wet stuff.

I can't help but feel Rio would just sink....although he has lost weight and is only 25kg now!
He won't venture into the sea more than his belly at the moment...
