Expensive Dog
In the interests of doggy safety I have 'had' to buy a new 'secondhand' car, going from a saloon to an estate. Nita is costing me a fortune. I thought my past gf's were bad lol. But on this occasion, she is worth it.

It certainly is, Ian. This time last year I didn't think I would have an addition to the one man family nor get rid of my beloved car, Ethel. Sacrifices and all lol

Re: Expensive Dog
Yip, that's what happens! Every decision you make now revolves around Nita. From the car to the colour of the new carpet to the fabric of the new couch to the holidays you take.....yadda yadda yadda!!

Oh yes, only have the one holiday that was booked last year before getting Nita and thats to Spain. After that, UK holidays.
Re: Expensive Dog
Yes amazing what our staffies do to change our lives and for the best, and we do everything around them. We brought an caravan (again) when we had Pixee, holidays aboard were a no no now. Having not been away for a year in our caravan, due to selling up, renting (first place which turned out a nightmare) and now in second renting and loving it, we are going away next week in our caravan yippeeeeeeeeee. So yeah they costing us a fortune but well worth every penny.

Re: Expensive Dog
Yeh she has just cost me a new mountain bike too for when we start Bikejoring. I say she has, I clearly 'had' to get one to do it properly.

As much as I love holidays abroad, since having Flo we have found some fantastic places to stay in the UK

Re: Expensive Dog
Yeh, I've been looking at places in the UK too. Hopefully going camping this weekend with friends and Nita so I will keep an eye out for other spots.
Re: Expensive Dog
I was wondering about the cost of having Bo just last week. I haven't totted it up, but it's a lot. And as of yesterday we can add £1.5K to that as he threw up all over the living room carpet, which is cream-coloured and only two years old. It's a write-off, so I'll probably get the floor levelled (it's an old house) and fit boards, so there's another £2K. Poor chap, though, he's had a dodgy tummy for a few days and after he'd been sick he looked really worried. I told him not to bother as it's only a carpet and it wasn't his fault but he put his ears back and bowed his head. He worried about it more than I did, I couldn't give a stuff
