Why are blue Staffs so expensive
They seem to cost over here in Ireland double or more than other types?I was thinking of getting a blue male some time but they seem to be over priced. >

A load of rubbish yes they charge way over the top for blues but really they are no different to any other colour staffs. I only had Vin as I do love the colour not because its "supposed" to be unusual xx

Re: Why are blue Staffs so expensive
Simply because they're a popular colour! I don't agree with how much people charge for them, and the extortionate amount that they are from bred also. Seeing so many popping up in rescue centres with severe skin problems from CDA, due to breeding two dilutes (both blue parents). It's irresponsible. They're the same as any other staffordshire bull terrier, I wouldn't ever buy from a breeder anyway, simply because of the rescue situation, but I certainly wouldn't buy from a breeder that breeds for colour over health or temperament. That's all I have to say really lol! Sorry, I feel very strongly about the subject, and do usually keep my mouth shut.

Re: Why are blue Staffs so expensive
They used to be rare now they are everywhere and the price will come down at some point. I was offered a blue but turned it down just before i got Lula. It was a case of it seem too good to be true and it did not feel right for some reason.
I`m glad we choose Lula even if she drives me mad at times and i`m always being told she a lovely looking dog

Re: Why are blue Staffs so expensive
Because they are so called 'rare' although I do love the blues, bad breeders breed for money not health and you'll find these are also the breeders who charge stupid prices xx

They're a little more expensive here in Australia but not ridiculously so. I bought mine from a breeder as wanted a purebred & love the colour, not so common here.

Re: Why are blue Staffs so expensive
I bought lola just over a year ago, and i must admit it was the colour i wanted. I rang s few people and the price varied from €500 to €1200 for a blue. Any other colour seems to vary between €200 to €500 its a crazy difference for the same breed. Very common in ireland although i have never seen another blue in cork but im sure they are around.
