Re: good dry food is very expensive...
fish 4 dogs, arden grange, orijen are all good ones. Wainwrights, JWB are all okay (better than supermarket brands) JWB as steve says used to be alot better up there with the first few until they got bought out and changed the ingreadients. Wagg is a really low quality food as is most supermarket food.

Re: good dry food is very expensive...
We use Wainwrights (since a pup) for Tilly gets along fine on it though the OH keeps giving her wet food when I'm not looking , its reasonably priced @ £32 or £35 for 15kg and best thing for us is we can got to any Pets at Home to buy it so no supply problems

Re: good dry food is very expensive...
Ideally for staffies you need to check the protein content and it should not be more than 24% in its content.
I feed mine Country Value Chicken dry food 19% protein, mine love it.
I have also fed Dr Johns Gold Medal 21% protein.
These 2 foods are both working dog variety but mine are constantly out walking, running and working so it is fine for them.
Once you find one that they like and it agrees with their system you need to stick with it.
Hope I helped
