fear of large dogs i avoid large and same size dogs socialised with smaller dogs cats , loves kids , had seperation anxiety, biting issues ,pulling on the lead though lots of traiining and trust ive worked through these issues.

A kids toy car, getting saucepans out of the cupboard etc. - Nervous when first meeting other dogs: tends to stare and freeze and then charge up to them very tense all hackles up and stiff.

Training methods Positive reinforcement.

Behavioural problems presented: Wary of big dogs. Dont get on with Collis dogs. Dont like toy dogs. Wary if people approach her, she likes to approach first if she likes them, otherwise she is fine just left alone. Didnt like most dogs when we first had her, she is fine now to a point. Worse when on lead around big dogs, more relaxed off lead with space to get away from big dogs.

7. Behavioural problems presented: Hunting! Having been basically wild for her first year, she will still break out of anywhere she can to chase bunnies.

Millie (rescue, first 3 months in kennels at Danaher)

4. Daily exercise offered: 1/2 hr walk off lead, ad lib playing with others, hydro 2 x weekly

7. Behavioural problems presented: none! Ok, some puppy stuff like chewing & jumping up but we're nearly there.

If it sounds like we don't walk them much, it's because we've got fields that they chase around in.

Harley

2 walks at least 40 mins, 15-20 mins chasing after ball and at least one walk on a long lead so he can get some freedom.

Barking head puppy with some natures harvest wet. gets oily fish now and again and raw egg.

Positive reinforcement.

Mostly puppy behaviors like jumping up. Sometimes scared of loud traffic.

He cowers for some unknown reason when we go to put on his lead or harness. Sometimes nips when really excited. Loves any dogs and children.

7. Behavioural problems presented: Jumps at some people when excited and pulls at their sleeves and gloves. Eats the most vile things, again mostly when excited. Refuses point blank to go out on his own in the rain.

4. Depends on the day. Weekdays 20 mins in the morning, run about in the garden at lunchtime, 1 hour walk over the park. Weekends, 20 mins in the morning, ad hoc play in the garden all day, 11/2 - 2 hours in the afternoons or more if we are out for the day.
5. Wainwright's hypo allergenic wet mixed with Jameswellbeloved hypo allergenic kibble, assorted natural treats.
6. Positive reinforcement with praise and treats. Sit, wait and recall practiced each day (not really practiced but used)
7. Can be testy with dogs that bother her. Nibbles paws and base of tail and sometimes her lady bits.

7. Behavioural problems presented: Chronic puller on lead, chewing of BBQ, recall terrible

Aww nath id imagine they want to run everyday all day great dogs

6. Training methods (e.g positive reinforcement, dominance theory): KC Good citizenship classes using positive re-inforcement and games.
7. Behavioural problems presented: Initially when I had her she did not know how to play and did not understand treats as a reward. Has the EBT stubborn streak so can be difficult to train unless she feels like it. Took 4 months to 'get' that rewards were fun. Happy with fireworks and thunder but bat-* terrified of wind whistling in the trees. HATES heavy rain and unless well harnessed will spook and bolt off in terror. Terrified of people wearing hats and with hidden faces. Using gradual short desenstisation technigues for poor weather but its so slow. Tends to be submissive with other dogs, thinks Pom's might be squirrals and dislikes snappy small dogs with little dog syndrome. Happy if small dogs think they are dogs so its not the size. Continuing to work on this at her training club.
She was pettrified of anyone being near her face [has filed teeth and enough bite scars to make me go hmm] again very slow and very gradual desensitising by luring her to me and waving a nice piece of meet near her nose its taken a few months but she will now let me roll her lips back to check her teeth and will now let other people near her muzzle.
Use hand signs to re-inforce commands to help her understand what I want.
None bomb-proof recall but getting there.

At the moment limited to very short walks as she had to rest her back leg as she has been limping on and off.

Recall is not great long line only at the moment, meeting other dogs can be stressful but this is all new to her as we have had her less then two months. Some mouthing but this has vastly improved as to what it once was.

7. Behavioural problems presented:Sometimes shows aggression to certain dogs at the park, care is taken when introducing her to new dogs. Jumps up at people and will not share her toys.
