New staffy owners to be

Hello,
My Fiance and I get our new family member on the 31st of Janurary
It has been the longest month of our lives.
We thought we would sign up to this forum because a lot of the research we have been doing this pops up in
our searches with some amazing information,
so thankyou for helping us prepare to big our baby Ryder home.

just under two weeks too go !! cant wait

I have spent the last two days puppy proofing my house and yard (filling the gaps under our fence was so horrible in this heat - we just brought some garden edging 7.5 cm high and stapled it to the fence and dug it in to the ground a little ) we don't want him in the yard un supervised anyway just incase he escapes one day apparently the staffy is quite the escape artist !  
and went and got a few more toys and a name tag today
puppy shopping is crazy and addictive

also scored a metal dog crate online for $20aud
and buying a little indoor play pen for ryder when we are eating etc

I just cant wait !!
also for Sydney siders I saw at bunnings a shell sand pit tub for $12
might make a good dog pool for when he is big enough to splash around

it will be awesome when we can take more photos and update you all on ryder

I bet you can't wait to pick him up, you are quite right Staffies can be the little escape artist so secure fencing is a must have.

The shell sand pit sounds like a great idea and we have often thought of getting one for Rocky but the shops sold out last year, hope to get one for this summer - providing we have one that is
