Raw diet
I'm considering switching Baxter to a raw diet, he is currently on eukanuba puppy and has raw lambs heart twice a week. What would a normal raw diet consist of ?
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Raw diet
Most people start with chicken then slowly introduce other bits. At the moment mine mostly eat: beef tripe/ chunks, lambs offal, chicken necks/ gizzards, minced chicken carcass, mackerel, duck feet / necks

Re: Raw diet
When you feed mackerel, is it the whole fish bone and all. Do you they eat chicken liver raw ?

Re: Raw diet
With a raw diet you try to feed as much variation as possible or whatever you can get hold of and needs to be made up of mostly meat, with some bone and offal too.
Our usual meat order includes: Duck Wings, Chicken Legs/wings, Meat Minces: Chicken and Liver, Turkey, Tripe, Beef, Pork, Lamb, Venison. We also buy whole Mackerel, Sardines and kidneys from the supermarket. Other things he has had include: Pigs trotters, pigs ears, Beef throttle, Rabbit, Pheasant, Ox heart and tail.
Fish can be fed whole with guts and bones still included and liver can be fed raw too. Bane gets a little picky at times, so there are some foods that he will only eat frozen which is fine too

Re: Raw diet
Yes, they eat everything raw. Tonight was duck's neck, lamb mince, beef liver and chicken heart- looked awful but they liked it.
