Me personally would feed the pup 3 times a day if hes constantly hungry are u worming him regularly? . If hes wolfing the food down i would just feed a bit at a time cut the meal into 2 portions

WE just followed the feeding advice with the food. We also used treats as a reward so did not worry about underfeeding.

Is it this food?

http://www.advancepet.com.au/products/dog-products/puppy/puppy-plus-growth-all-breed,-chicken-3kg.aspx

There's nowhere there on the feeding guide that says 40g per day, even for toy breeds. For a Staff, you should be looking between the medium and large size dog. So 100-185g per day. You have some room to add a bit more if you think he is looking a little skinny or seems unusually hungry.

As Crystal said, make sure you keep up to date with worming as this could be a contributing factor to his hunger Smile

And feeding 4 meals a day is good! After a few months you can cut down to 3, then about 6 months to 2 if it's more convenient.
