That is simply disgusting!! These owners who do this kind of thing to dogs deserve to have the same thing done to them!

Pond life. But you have to wonder about the council workers too...

Are they mad? Why on earth would they want to try and give him back to his owner?

Saw that this morning! He's a mega cutie - least they tied him up somewhere public I suppose, though irresponsible all the same.. better than our last staffie at the centre who was chucked in a freezing river!

Is there a change in attitudes going on here. With all these recent reports perhaps the low life are realising that our gorgeous Staffords are not Trophy dogs after all. I live in hope

Good news that the abandoned staffie has been re-united with his owner, who was not the person who abandoned him. Apparently he had been left in the care of somebody else who is the person who dumped him at the station - guess it's a matter of be careful who you trust your dog with.

Why cant these scum take the dogs to a rescue centre rather than tying them to railings? They wouldn't be judged if they cant look after them any longer. Makes me sooooo

Waiting lists for rescue centres are up to 6 months sometimes, we just had people lie in the end and say that their own dog was a stray to get them a guaranteed space. It's no excuse to leave them tied up somewhere but the dog population is so overcrowded, and some responsible peoples circumstances do change. But sadly, many more people feel that animals are disposable. The only way to solve the issue is to control breeding and for people to rescue rather than buying puppies.

The point of this story is that this dog was not abandoned by it's owner - the owner had temporarily left his dog in the care of somebody else for whatever reason necessary, who had then abandoned the dog. Thankfully the owner got their dog back again.

Makes me physically sick
