Night time
George is now 10 1/2 weeks, had 2nd injection and I can't wait to start puppy classes next week. He's an absolute joy, sits and gives paw on command and we're working on retrieving and dropping ball. I'm just wondering what my expectation should be at night time? He falls asleep about 8 on husbands lap on settee,he pops him out for a wee last thing at night, about 12 and then he(George, not my husband!) wakes at 5 to go out for a wee then wakes about 6.30. Does this sound about right? We work and are out the house 7 hours but pop back twice a day,George is crate trained,we have lots of play and training when we get home from work but on our terms. Also, when he chews my slippers I tell him to sit, which he does, then give him treat(just his normal food out of his daily quota) bit is this rewarding bad behaviour? I see it as rewarding him for doing as he's told but just wondering?

Re: Night time
Sounds like you're all doing really well.
Telling a dog off well after the naughty event will have no effect whatsoever as they will have forgotten what they did and why they are now getting told off. A tad confusing for them.
Reward for good behaviour should also be given immediately to reinforce the behaviour just done if that makes sense

Re: Night time
Sounds very similar to the set up we had at night/morning and sounds like you are doing really well with him!
I would agree with Ian on the rewarding for his sit. You are rewarding the fact that he listened and did as you asked. If you are uncertain, maybe just tell him a 'NO' in a low firm voice first, and move him away from the slippers to ask him for a sit.
