Stiff rear legs... normal?
I've notice this for a while now but only recently have I thought it may be something to be concerned about.
My Scoob has what I can only describe as fairly rigid rear legs. When he walks, especially after a sleep, his rear legs are almost peg like in their movement.
I've also noticed that he always seems quite reluctant to jump up at you. He'll jump, but always looks half arsed and will drop back down straight away.
He stretches out a lot, especially after a sleep, but quite often throughout the day too.
I've never owned a staffy before so was not sure if this is normal for this breed.
He's exercised a lot (everyday for 1.5 - 2 hours), and while out he will run like the clappers the whole time - which made me think that his legs must be fine.
He is only 15 months old and has a very athletic toned figure. His rear legs look particularly muscular from behind when he is walking/running.
Is this an issue which needs looking at or is it simply stiff muscles from all the exercise (like humans get)?

Vin sometimes does this usually after strenuous exercise or ball chasing. May have pulled something but best get vet to take a look. You could try resting him for a few days

I think vet would be your best bet too really, doesn't sound very comfy for him

Sounds a bit odd about the peg leg movement. In terms of how he is stretching out...if he looks like a frog that is usual for a Staffy I think it's there automatic go to position.
Maybe get it checked out if you are unsure. You could look into supplements to help with joints to add to his food

I'd ask a vet just to be safe

Bo has always walked like that, his rear legs are stiff and move in semi-circular arcs so that he waddles like a sailor. He also stretches at least half a dozen times when he wakes after a long sleep and sometimes makes a noise like a Wookie when he does it.
