flea prevention Empty flea prevention

Hi, Well me and Hanna are off to the vets later and I know the vet/nurse will be saying Hanna needs flea prevention, I don't really want to give her anything and she has not got fleas, Is it important for puppies to have the flea treatment or should I avoid till necessary ?

I know a lot of members here don't use any flea preventer unless it is needed. Having said that we give Rocky his flea treatment every 2 - 3 months anyway because not everyone where I have to live is so good at looking after their pets.
