swollen stomach
Hi all, we have a 12 week old pup. When we picked him up last week we were surprised by the conditions he was living under. We were told he had been wormed but no vaccinations. We took him home and have fed him symply dried food which was recommended and he is looking so much better. Took him to vets to have vaccinations and he said he needed working. Its now been 5 days and no worms, Bruce's stomach is getting smaller, do you think it was due to him eating rubbish foods as there were 10 pups. Thanks Tim

Ah maybe could have been from the worms, if it doesnt go down pop him back to the vets. Just keep an eye on him best to be safe than sorry

Well I think we have finally seen some worms today, yellow in colour and about 10mm long, does this sound right?

Re: swollen stomach
Still pop along to vets though, the worming tablet may be working as they are passing through system. Let us know how you get on

Re: swollen stomach
Well the vets didn't give him a worming tablet, it was a lotion on back of neck. Told us to go back after 2 weeks if worms are seen to get stronger dosage.

Re: swollen stomach
Ah I see well see what they say I would think a worming tablet would be advisable

Re: swollen stomach
The lotion is normally for skin borne things like ticks. The worming tablet is eaten with food. The tummy shrinking could well be down to the worming tabs and/or decent food. If you're at all concerned give the vet a call, better to be safe
