Millie refusing to eat Wainwrights
She has been on the wet trays for nearly 3 months now.
She was eating one tray every night for her tea and would clear her bowl.
About a fortnight ago we put it down to her and she walked away and left it, she will still have some Wainrights kibble mixed with pilchards at lunchtime.
Have a months supply of Wainrights, should I persevere or is it time to look for another wet food to try.
If so any recomendations.
I am convinced she is just a fussy eater.

My Flo has also turned her nose up at food she was previously wolfing down. I do wonder weather they get bored or there's something suddenly added to it. I would do the same as Stella, try something else for a week or two and then try the Wainwright's again.

Re: Millie refusing to eat Wainwrights
the first food i bought for Lady was Wainrights ..
she liked it at first .. then went off it ..
then i tried natures-menu packs ..
( at least they smell like real meat )
she likes them the best ..
recently tried two cans of a new brand ..
think it's called 'evolution' ..
was a bit more expensive
she turned her nose up it .. refused to even try a bite
so i bribed her by mixing in her favourite human food
grilled or roast chicken
( not hot but after it's been in the fridge )
i think .. like most humans ..
she likes a change now and again ..
i certainly wouldn't want to eat the same food day in day out .. :-)

Hey how old is she now? How many meals a day is she having? How did you react when she walked away?

Re: Millie refusing to eat Wainwrights
She is 17 months now.
I normally give her some kibble with pilchards around lunchtime.
Then her meal at tea time, I never made a big thing about it, after it happened a few times we tried to encourage her to eat and for a couple of nights she cleared her bowl being spoon fed.
Although I wouldn't continue with this as i realise this could cause more problems in the long run
Otherwise she is perfectly healthy and is getting plenty excercise.

Re: Millie refusing to eat Wainwrights
Madge is fussy too, often wont eat anything til teatime then she wolfs it down and has a late second meal. Good to change flavours, at the moment she's on Iams kibble mixed with Naturo soft trayfood.

Thanks for the replies.
Although I bought a months supply they are 3 different flavours, will keep her from the Wainrights for a week or 2 then introduce it again.
