Feeding Question
Quick question folks. 10 seconds on the clock the moment you've read the question...
"An 8 week old puppy requies ____ amount of meals, which consist of ____ cup(s) of food."
Go!

Pencils down, and the answer is?
(Thanks in advance. 6 days until the pooch arrives and I'm getting the last of my poop in a group!)

Re: Feeding Question
I have been feeding Blue 3 meals a day of 1/2 cup of dry food Hill's science diet puppy formula this is the #1 food in the states..He also gets 1/4 cup of rice with his dinner and some treats throughout the day..It depends on the food you use and the weight of the dog but there should be a chart on whatever food you choose...Hope this helps

Re: Feeding Question
it varies on the food you buy.the amounts are very similar that you feed the pup and are done by weight.we started off on 4 feeds a day with our puppies until they're about 3 or 4 months.the rule is little and often.then 3 feeds until around 6 to 7 months, dropping to 2 feeds after this.this a general rule tbh and depends on the pup and you.you'll know when the time is right to change the feed amounts.have to echo the earlier post that there is no substitute for the best food you can buy.we use pero, which is brilliant in my humble opinion and not scarily expensive cos boy can they tuck it away lol.hope this helps

Re: Feeding Question
Thanks for the replies folks.
I'll just follow the bag, 4 times a day. I'm feeding Acana by the way. It's the second best you can get here in Canada (in my opinion). The best has WAAAAY to much protein for a puppy, but she'll move to that eventually.
