Surprised Empty Surprised

Post by Sazzle Thu Sep 04 2014, 20:27

Nicely surprised!

This morning on our walk a man was walking on the other side of the road with a tiny puppy, not sure what it was a little black curly haired thing, very cute! Anyway as we got nearer he crossed over and asked if he could introduce her to Daisy as he's trying to socialise her! I was shocked (but pleased) that an owner of a tiny puppy would want to introduce it to at 'staffy' I said yes of course but that Daisy would probably be more interested in him! Which she was!!

Bless the puppy was really interested in Daisy and she wasn't bothered in the slightest! Laughing

Well done Daisy. Flo's been asked to do this twice now. It's so refreshing to meet owners that want to be responsible and don't see all Staffs as a threat Big Grin

I can't wait till someone asks us Sad there's a group of dog walkers who all stand in a circle on the field and as soon as they see me and buzz approach they all shout their dogs which are mostly shitzus and yorkie types to go on the lead, we feel like outcasts, yet my dog is probably the friendliest there, he got yapped at by 2 pugs yesterday and just trotted passed them!!

dont loose heart it will happen, its been around two months since mine met a new friend but tonight had a good play with a cocker called charlie

Its nice to see people take an interest in making their dog better even better to see someone realise that Staffy's are just bundles of fun.

At our local I made it a point to approach people while socialising Harrie now a lot of them make a point to come over and say hi more to her than me.

Cheers

That's so nice to read. It's ask sad the stigma attached, I don't think it's as bad here in Aus. I say AS, depending if they are a dog person on not. But we had a similar situation, although Nala is only 6 months, where a family had brought their 10 week old pup for a play at the park/beach for the first time. It was a brave little thing, but apparently none of the other dogs were interested in her but my girl had a good run around with her and the family was so happy to see that, happier than me I think.
