Staffys canine teeth issues

Hi all, I'm new to this forum and was wondering if anyone could help me, my staffy aged 9 has his top 2 canne teeth (the 2 big fang likeones ) coming to rest when his mouth is closed on the outside of his mouth and are cutting into the soft part of his jaw/gums...any help or ideas as to whats causing this would be a great help

That's not anything I've come across, hopefully someone else can advise x

Staffies have a scissor bite which means the front incisors (spelling its a friday night?) overlap the lowers. its quite normal but if its cutting in it may be a swelling of the gums getting in the way of the teath, might be something as simple as an infection causing swelling the gums. in this case id suggest a visit to the vet which is somthing im not known for recomending but dont worry its only because i think it will be a quick and cheap fix

I would advise a trip to the vet as well
