Pregnant Staffy - how much excercise?

Hi all....
My lil girl Molly (well quite a big girl atm lol) has about 2.5wks to go and is starting to get quite big and I am a little concerned about giving her too much excercise....
Currently she is having about a 25-30min run chasing/fetching her boomer ball, but I also take her for about a 4-5klm walk....she is slowing down now on the walk so should I stop one or the other both until after the pups are born? Or just let her decide when she has had enough?

It is her first litter and I dont want to hurt her or the pups by giving her too much excercise....

any assistance appreciated!

Sorry no experience in this, is it a planned litter?

no experience either though i would say she will let you know when she has had enough,has she been scanned to see how many pups she is having and having regular checks with your vet?

Yes it was planned, Molly is being checked regularly by our vet, last scan showed 4 pups.....be nice if I could get a reply from someone with knowledge regarding this, might need to check with vet, but he is not very experienced with Staffs.....

No worries Steve, thanks....being a typical Staffy though she would go all day, though the wee breaks are a lot more frequent lol

I agree with the above and with 2.5 weeks to go I would make the walks shorter but more frequent if she shows interested in the walk do it if she seems disinterested let her stay home, however I am no expert so hopefully a breeder will give you better advice good luck with the pups and look forward to some pics.

I would agree, keep walkies time short.

I'd probably keep the walking to a similar length but reduce the running/boomer ball play or anything too

*overly boisterous! Sent that too early on my phone sorry. Haven't bred myself but worked in rescue for a long time and had lots of pregnant dogs. Try training at home to simulate her/tire her out mentally, may help

Thanks for the input all....she has started to slow down this week, getting larger by the day......just over a week and half to go!
