Near miss with 2 boxers.

Out with mia i live in the town and rounded a corner and seen a white head got such a fright i crossed the road in front of a car to avoid confrontation. I shouted loudly mia wasnt big dog friendly her hackles were raised but usually she would growl she kept her eyes on the dogs at all times. Shes come quite far as she used to lunge at the dog if she seen it and growl.  She isnt a bad dog just unsocialised as a pup i feel like a bad owner as it looks as if i made her that way! But mias came a long way since she was three shes great with kids small dogs and cats.

Crossing the road is definitely the right thing to do to take the pressure off the situation if you think the dogs cannot safely pass in close proximity. Great to hear that she's ok with cats, very impressive.

Its just one of those things Crystal and certainly you have done great with her. You did the right thing and avoided a situaton

We thought about getting a rescue but the OH was insistant that the dog had to be good with kids and other dogs so I figured a pup was the best option

Pup is defo the best option that way they can be trained how u want mia is now tho. But always best to get a staffy from a pup

I was surprised she wanted an AmStaff with all the bad publicity and when I told her how much exercise they need every day.
