Flare up and back to square 1!
Grrrrr after Vin being on Rimadyl for 5 days and a 100% improvement in his limp, I am back to square 1 again!. I am at the point of pulling my hair out now. He has had a very raw paw pad and weeping that all cleared and his limp had gone, but collected anti bac paw wipes from vets yesterday which he perscribed and I did his bad paw with one yesterday hey presto its all flared up again and the limp is back due to it being so sore. I have gone over what he has done or had dfferent yesterday and thats the only thing which was. Could there be something in the wipes that has caused this? Help! Do have an appointment with vets tomorrow evening so hopefully he will be able to shed some light.

It could be a reaction to the wipe but I would hope not since it was prescribed. Hope he makes a full and speedy recovery

Damn... Just when you thought you were getting on top of it ! Could be something with the wipes, is it the first time you've used them ?
I so hope you can get this sorted, my Flo's toes are huge where she is at them regardless of what we try

Re: Flare up and back to square 1!
Vet said he wasnt convinced the paw was causing the limp last week, but after seeing it so ery sore and weepy he said that was defo a reaction against the wipes. He also said afraid he is probably prone to these allergy flare ups, but did say to pop the wipes back to him and he wouldnt charge me for them. So will just see how it goes now xx

Poor fella. At least you know never to use those wipes again !.
Do you know what the allergy is? Are you washing his paws after walks with salt water or AVC ?. Flo's back paws are swollen but she runs & walks ok so we just keep them clean and make sure they don't get sore and infected. Would love to find a permanent cure though

Not a lot of help at all, tbh it doesn't sound like the wipes as this has been going on for quite some time x

Re: Flare up and back to square 1!
Yes have to bathe the paw twice a day with salt water, strong solution and some more anti inflamms but 1 a day not 2 a day. I will investigate further once the soreness has gone and healed, as I do care for Vinnie more than life its self. x
