Blue staffs? and growth?
Are blue staffs normaly alot bigger height wise than you average coloured staffy as theres a fella near me with a blue staff and he dewarfs every staff ive seen in height? and when do staffs stop growing fully? ive been told that they get there height in the first year then there head and chest fills out the second year then they define there shape and muscles in the third year is this true?

Re: Blue staffs? and growth?
Roughly, that's true, although they're all different in their rate of growth.
Their final size, however, is determined by their genes (and so by their parents/grandparents) and has nothing to do with colour. The fella near you's blue is just a big dog!

I would say that at 2 years old you should see what your dogs shape and size will be like but they are constantly changing throughout there lives. Like caryll says its all in the genetic make up so cant be altered REALLY

True, Moo is a cross I think and she dwarfs other Staffs in height! They develop differently and as Caryll said the colour doesn't matter.

Re: Blue staffs? and growth?
when I was looking for Billy, there were a few blue staffs for sale, that were not KC registered, but had been bred to be bigger and were AKC registered or IKC registered can't remember which now.

Re: Blue staffs? and growth?
Techincally blue staffs shouldnt be any bigger than any other colour staffs but due to crap breeders breeding them for colour and nothing else they do tend to be bigger and very much out of standard x

i bet it was IKC but they not official papers if the police come knocking at your door they wouldn't even look at them. KC are only official papers in the uk
