Post by Hannahmulderrig Fri Jul 11 2014, 20:32

My 12 week old staff has stopped using her pads for about 2 and a bit weeks now.. When we 1st got her at 8 weeks she was using them 9/10 now she won't even go on them. We live in a flat but are moving to a house in 4 days with a garden. She doesn't pee in her crate how can I get her to go on her pads again !!! Help !!

I bought a spray from pets at home which attracts them to the pad (some pads already have this scent in them) I used to spray it on the pad put him on it if he walked off I would continuously put him back on it until he did a wee. When he did I have lots of praise and a treat. Rinse and repeat!

I don't have any experience in the pads but would advise as soon as you have access to a garden start training her to go outside. Lots of treats and praise when she goes in the correct place. Not so sure about the sprays etc. we got a "Pee Stick" absolutely awful just stunk the place out!

Never used pads - personally find i a little pointless training them to toilet in one place and then another, hope the move goes well and yes as mentioned straight in the garden when you have one. Good luck Smile
