Sorry, why don't you let your dogs develop naturally? Why condition them so specifically?

You could get your male to do sits ups and the female to bench press weights  Big Grin

Seriously, why don't you just enjoy and appreciate your dogs as they are?

They can get in shape naturally - I don't think there's any need to target specific muscles like us humans would Smile

No, but I don't think there are any specific exercises that will target specific muscles. Correct diet (not overfeeding) and plenty of exercise should do it. Meg doesn't do anything out of the ordinary apart from the above and I don't think there's anything wrong with her. She is healthy and that's all I'm really bothered about.

Similar to us good quality clean food and healthy exercise, take them running enrol in agility or flyball so they are using power and conditioning from the turning beware that over use can cause injury/long term problems. It's all good them being lean but consider an extra couple pounds may help if they get sick

I don't condition my dog specifically, we just do a lot activity wise and she looks fit and healthy. I'd focus more on fun and active things that you can do together; swimming, hiking, flirt pole, running, agility, fly ball.. Unless your showing your dog I wouldn't worry about their muscles being in the right places all too much. Just enjoy the activity that you do together, and your dogs will be fit and happy for it Smile

Food will help too as Jules has suggested. When I was feeding Biscuit raw she looked like a beefcake and we weren't even doing that much, really! I feed grain free food and she gets left over meat and steamed vegetables from out dinners. Also loves fruit so she gets blueberry and banana kongs and various safe fruit for her when I have it! If we're having a really active day she will have banana and raw egg/oily fish or some extra raw chicken and some rice added into her food. She gets marrow bones to chew also which knackers her out!! She's all sleepy and relaxed after, chewing releases so many endorphins for them Smile
