Update on Duke and his heart murmur
Well it seems to be a case of "Heart murmur? What heart murmur?!"
Duke, it turns out, doesn't seem to realise he has one! Or maybe it's gone away. I don't know. Since we got him, he's lost weight, and gotten a lot more "sparkly" for want of a better word! He's more alert, loves his walks - which turn into runs more often than not, can jump up and down steps, which he battled to haul himself up when we 1st got him, and just generally is more full of energy. In the evenings he slows down though, which I suppose is to be expected.
It's really quite amazing to see him barreling around the park! His legs, particularly his front legs, seem to have gained quite a bit of muscle too. When we got him he was really round, with these skinny little legs. Now it's like the weight has gone from his tummy to his legs!
It's so funny, other people I'm sure, try to encourage their dogs to stay off the furniture and not jump up on people, with us, we're doing the opposite!
I thought I'd include a pic of what the poor thing has to put up with sometimes. Lliam had decided it was cold, and Duke needed a blanket. So please meet "Little Green Riding Duke"

AW, so cute!
It might be that the weight loss has helped him to cope with the murmur better. Any more recent pics?

The weather hasn't been great here. Here down south, winter's almost here and its really cold outside. For us SAffers, 10deg C is frikking freezing!!!
