heart murmur 14 month old pup

lola went to the vets today for spaying and on the check up the vet said she had a slight heart murmur and asked if she had a cought which she hasnt and about her fitness with is quite high. The vet said she's in very good shape and would not affect the op. so any advice on diet to help with this or any adice would be really good.

I know, it's so hard not to molliecoddle them.

If it's helpful, there's a young black lab that I often see on my walks with Dempsey. He was diagnosed with a moderate/strong heart murmur at 4 months old & his owners were told taht he may not reach a year. He's now 2 years old & very fit & active. They make sure he never totally exhausts himself, but other than that, he's fine.

I would try not to worry about it. I don't know if it's any different but I had a cat with a heart murmur that we didn't find out about until she was 10 years old. It didn't affect her at all.

Agree with all above, try not to worry too much, easier said than done I know.
