My 6 month old called Koda seems to have a cold, although I've looked on the internet and most sites say that dogs cannot get colds. She seems fine in herself and is eating fine but she has a snotty nose and sneezes. She goes to a doggy day care and they mentioned that kennel cough is going round but she doesn't seem to be coughing though. Anybody have any advice or anything to help ease her symptoms? Thanks x

Hiya. My pup Skye was the same last week, I took her to the vets and they said she had an upper respiratory infection and gave us antibiotics. So that's maybe what your pup has or might even be allergies

Kennel cough is highly contagious and the day care centre should not have let you take your dog there knowing it was going around, very naughty of them  angry

Rocky caught this last year and was ill for a couple of weeks with it, he went to the vets and was given tablets for it.

If her snotty nose is making it slightly hard for her to breath take her into the bathroom and get the room steamy as this helps clear her nose

When you say runny how do you mean? It could possibly pollen - its really high at the mo.

Kennel cough is very easy to tell - and as Kathy mentioned do they mean going round in general or going round where you go for the class?

At the end of the day if you are concerned it is best to pop to the vets Xx
