Paddy gagging and runny nose
hi all just wondering if you could help me, my lovely paddy is not well, i mean hes well in himself as in eating and drinking and running around but he keeps coughing and gagging but nothing is coming up, iv just taken him out for a walk and his nose has become very runny not clear but quite yellow green colour, he has already been taken to the vets beginning of the week because i knew something wasnt right with the way he kept gagging but the vet checked him over and said their was no problem with the stomach or the throat and his nose was fine, can dogs just get the flu like humans and it go on its own or does paddy has something in his throat, also just wondering if anyone has experienced this with their staffy
please help as i dont like to see him like this
thank you

Re: Paddy gagging and runny nose
It could be kennel cough.
Some dogs will get over it on their own, but some need a course of treatment from the vets. Give your vet a ring & ask if there's been a spate of kennel cough in the area - it's highly contagious!

Definitely agree about the vets! Might be worth just phoning and asking for advice. There have been a few members here whose dogs have had Kennel Cough recently.

Rocky had kennel cough recently, a trip to the vet for him with antibiotics and rimadyl. Give your vet a quick ring they will put you right.
