Alfie Off lead!
So while I was at work today hubby took kids and Alfie to a river walk, but the road was closed. This was a 40 minute drive away. So he ended up at a big enclosed playing field with a kids park in the corner. It was deserted so while kids were in the play park he played ball with Alfie on the long lead. After a while with no one around he decided to take his lead off. He said it was so lovely seeing him run free, he even managed a wee, never does anything out.
He managed to get some video of him for to show me, another first he never takes pics or vids usually.
Just wish he was dog friendly and we could do this everyday locally.

Re: Alfie Off lead!
I should add for those wondering what the big deal is. Alfie is DA so cannot be let off lead in a public place. There are no real "safe" areas to let him off nearer home, everywhere crowded with off lead dogs. Plus he had no recall, good with his ball but even that is instantly forgotten if a dog came into sight or any other distraction.
This is the first opportunity to let him off since we have had him (almost 6 months). Probably his first time ever seeing as he hardly saw past his small back garden with his previous owners
