Shocked! Empty Shocked!

Post by michellemartin Tue May 20 2014, 09:35

Alfie is just over 8 months now and hasn't had an accident in the house for probably about 4 months.. I have just come downstairs and found that he has done a wee up a towel which was hung over the radiator!! I am totally in shock!! Also worried he is going to try and wee up other things like the sofa whilst I'm not looking! No idea what would have caused him to do it! Have any of your dogs ever done anything like this?! Xx

He probably just forgot where he was for a minute. Clean it up well with biological washing powder to break down the smell (stop him going in the same spot again) and hopefully he wont do it again.  Smile

How did you react to him when he did this ?

Maybe try going back to basics if he needs a little more toilet training

Lol little monkey!! After a year of cleanliness Biscuit wee'd on my bed, through the duvet and mattress!!! Was so shocked, also totally out of character. She's never done it again since, though is known to wee on the floor of it's raining!! Hopefully it's just a one off Smile

I didn't react Kathy I just cleaned it up.

Oh no Rach! Luckily he got it all on the towel so all I had to do was chuck it in the wash! Yeah I'm hoping it is just a one off Smile I'll just keep my eye on him over the next few days! I suppose they have their off moments every now and again Smile xx

Ah that's okay then, I wonder if there was something that smelt strange to him on the towel? I had been fostering a mastiff puppy when Biscuit did it so think it was a mixture of scent and behavioural. Yeah I'm sure it's just a one off, just monitor Smile

I did think that - it had just been washed and was still slightly damp. Maybe he didn't like the fact it was clean haha! I had to laugh to myself though at the vision of him just cocking his leg up against a towel on a radiator haha!! Thanks all xxx
