Just heard that my daughters friend has a staffy....

anyway she was round at her friends house playing in the garden when her friend started running round like a maniac playing, the staffy umped up - accidently nipped her skin thru her trousers... the upshot of it all is

the girls mum preceded to bite the staffy on the ear as punishment.... my daughter said the staffy yelped..

im just like wtf ?

do ppl really do this ?

what do they think they will acheive by treating a dog this way ? and where the feck was the mother in the first place ?!?!

Ive since told my daughter not to go in their garden unsupervised again.

She's lucky the dog didn't panic & bite her!

My god, that is SO old fashioned! I don't think I'd allow my daughter round there again, either.

All some people need to do is be educated. There's a lot of wrong and outdated training techniques, this sounds like one of them. Poor dog.

Dont think it is a good idea at all. But to be fair, even though the method is highly suspect, at least she made an effort to let the dog know its behaviour was unacceptable. Mind you she might have had a word with her kid about running around the dog and getting it excited in the first place.
