Tinned Mackerel - it is okay, isn't it?
Hi
After chatting to lady who feeds her dogs a raw diet we decided to start Jasper on it too, we gave him two Chicken thighs tonight and, after a slight hesitation, gulped them both down. He kept looking at his bowl and then me. I didn't have any more defrosted chicken so I gave him a tin of mackerel in sunflower oil, that went down a treat too.
The lady at the kennels said oily fish was okay, but I just wanted to ask.
Also, as he was still hungry, how much weight of food should he be getting? He is just over two years and weighs 19.5 Kg's.
Many thanks
Tony

I don't feed raw food but Rocky occasionally has some tinned fish, sardines or whatever we have, with his kibble and gobbles it down with no ill effects.

Re: Tinned Mackerel - it is okay, isn't it?
Thanks for that.
He was really picky before though, in fact last night I had to get on my knees and feed him his tinned from a spoon! I've tried different tinned stuff, dried, he doesn't really seem to care for any of them, though the vet says he is perfect weight.
I want to make sure I am feeding him sufficient, but not too much.
