need opinions

hi guys, have not been on in a while but since i last was my lexy had been spayed.

everything went well etc however since she got spayed she was eating ok just after it but now shes not got much of an appetite and lost weight.

Is there anything i can feed her to bulk her back up and give her an appetite again???

PS She still gets walked daily but still doesnt eat much

being spaded effect dogs differently some get fat, some lose wight some say how they are.. if she not superskinny there nothing wrong

i understand that steve but its more her appetite im worrying about .. she was spayed about 9 weeks ago im just a little worried

Depends on what you are feeding her. If canned or dry dog food try adding and egg or sardines to get her to eat a bit more

Are you sure she's not just being picky with her current food? Raw tripe is good for getting weight on, and raw beef chunks. If you're not happy feeding raw nature diet is great for putting weight on too. What's she being fed on at the moment?

she is being fed on wainwrights ... i dont mind feeding her raw but never tried it

Egg or sardines are good options.

Raw green tripe is really good for them perhaps try this, but don't mix it with kibble as they have different digestion rates. Perhaps her hormones are all over the place too and that's why she hasn't got an appetite xx

i was told to put a crushed raw egg over their kibble but also read abovethat raw and kibble have different digesting rates but i not sure if ggs would be that bad

i used to put a raw egg in with kibble i think twice a week and my 2 loved it for a while then they went off it i didnt see any real benefits to it either! they now have a  1/4 of a tin of meat mixed in with their kibble and a few dog biscuits sometimes they eat really (i say that willow eats well always) chester sometimes is very picky and loses weight but always comes back round! have you been back to vets for a check up to make sure all is ok from her op? and by the way tripe stinks!! hope u get sorted my 2 never turn down a pork scratching or 2!

hey willow , yea was reading up about tripe etc and im bad for a weak stomach especially when i seen what the triped looked like lol but im ok with raw chicken and beef etc... yea had her check up and everything was grand
