Really worried about pup
He has been sick all day and can't keep any food or water down. Pretty much projectile out both ends. No idea what caused it.
At what point do I start to really worry? Any tips for what to do to settle his stomach or get him to drink something at least?

Re: Really worried about pup
Is he about 15weeks now? I also would air on the side of caution, bank holiday weekend and I guess the vets are closed but is there an out of hours line you could call? How long has this been going on for?

Re: Really worried about pup
He's 15 weeks this weekend. It's just been today, but since first thing this morning. I've been away most of the day and my fiancé has been with him. He has has a couple of small feeds of just chicken and rice and I thought he was better when I came home because he came out for a walk and was really hyper. He had a short sleep afterwards then some diarrhoea and now he has been puking white foamy stuff ever since.
What is parvo and how would he catch it?

Re: Really worried about pup
Terrible night last night, he just kept being sick. We slept in the living room so we didn't have to leave him!
He seems a bit better today though. He hasn't had any sickness or diarrhoea anyway (though he hasn't actually gone to the toilet) and he is eating and drinking. I've given him a couple of very small portions of plain chicken and rice mixed with water, and some natural yoghurt mixed with water. Seems ok so far, fingers crossed.
I can only think that it must have been caused by eating something awful but I'm not sure what it was. The only thing I saw him eating that he shouldn't have been was sheep dung.

Re: Really worried about pup
I'd try and get some rehydration fluids into him if at all possible. How's he this afternoon?

Re: Really worried about pup
Currently sleeping. He's drank plenty now because I put lots of water in with the food. Been for several pees so I don't think he's dehydrated. The rest of his toilet business has improved but still far from normal. This is an ongoing problem that we've been to the vet about and I posted on here about before. We've tried changing foods and other things but he seems to have at least one really loose bowel movement every day.
