Heart in my throat... Empty Heart in my throat...

Post by janey Tue Mar 25 2014, 20:01

....and still shaking. Just popped out for cig, I always have the door ajar, Moo was just lying by the door (its glass), there was a fox directly outside, in a split second Moo was out the door running down the road (its quiet but...), I hadn't even spotted it, legged it after her and screamed 'leave it', just as a car came round the corner, she stopped they clocked me and Moo is back inside.

Really has made me think how quickly an accident could happen.

How awful, I felt the same when Ledger bolted out of the back of the car last week and tore off down a country lane. You can't not give chase! Thankfully he saw right and diverted up to the canal towpath but it scared the life out of me

Glad everything is ok now. I had that moment too. Debo run after my OH's car, he couldn't hear me shouting because his radio was turn up, he stoped when he saw Debo in rear mirror.

peppa had a close shave when we first started her on a retractable lead. we have her on one of those fle xi leads and where she is still young and getting used to diffrent noises i dropped the handle while she was connected to it on the pavement and the crash and scrapping made her bolt up the street as it was detracting it was following her up the street which made her panic even more and turn into a greyhound racer crossing the road making my stomach do somasautes lucky no cars as it was 10 in the evening and took so much persuasion to get her back eventually i got her my wife had a similar accident but she just looked at her and sat down imediately and gave her the look of "again mummy" what a good girl.....
