Re: Skin condition
Could be several things, I been lucky so far with not having any skin issues, but I know a few people have had issues, forget what it's called but it's itchy and needs treatment from the vets.
Somebody else will be along soon to help out. There very knowledgeable on here.

Re: Skin condition
The mole may be a coincidence. It might not be connected with that. Always worth taking to the vet for them to rule out the possibility of there being a parasite. They put a small sample under the microscope and can tell you for sure. Douglas had a bald patch when I first got him from the rescue - a small area on the top of his head. The vet checked him out, but he was clean. In my dog's case, you could feel the stubble on the patch and, sure enough, the new hair grew over it in a short time and the patch disappeared. Can you feel stubble in the area on the pup? In my own dog's case, the bald patch reappeared again - I think it was over xmas when he had to be checked into the kennels. Maybe, for him, it is stress-related because, obviously, he was not so delighted to go into kennels. The patch is now in the process of growing over once again. As long as the dog is not in distress, discomfort or pain - and there is no parasite within.
