thinking of have besu spayed!

Hi just thinking of having beau spayed she has just gone 4 month's how old do the have to be for it to be dun!

Well i don't neuter so i'd say never

How ever if you set on it she is far far to young now and i would wait until she's had a couple of seasons at least and 2-3 years old

Best to wait for a couple of seasons as Ella said it's all down to personal choice

I'm certainly no expert but I thought best to wait til after her 1st season (based on what I read/heard). The vets seem to say younger & younger now, very confusing.

the problem with going too young is that you are speying before the bitch is sexually mature which deprives her of essential hormones,oestrogen for example,that she needs to complete her growth into maturity.

Mia had one season before she was spayed. My vets was happy to do it at 6 months though. It's down to personal choice at the end of the day.   

Think im going to leave it till shes a least shes 12 months thanks any way

Thistle has had her first season, but I'm going to wait until she is at least 2 years old, apart from the fact I'm saving up, I want her to be 'fully formed' both mentally and physically.
