sick through the night!
Our Lucy (6 months) started being sick at 11.30pm last night.
First she vomited up food- it smelt like poo ?
Then she carried on being sick nearly every hour which was a white frothy liquid turning to yellow as time went on. (I'm thinging this will be bile?
Now at 8am after drinking a very small amount of water is curled up on my settee at the side of my grandson asleep.
Bless her; she was shaking a little because she has never been sick before and even though I've had years of bringing up dogs this is also a first for me.
What food should I give her when she is looking around for her meal?
Could it be...
Scrambled egg
Boiled fish and rice
Chicken and rice
I hope I don't need to starve her for 24hrs !

That's good to hear Hopefully it was just something she ate that disagreed with her. Glad she's wagging her tail again

Re: sick through the night!
Glad she's feeling a bit better. Either scrambled egg or boiled chicken and rice will do but in small quantities for now. Will you be taking her to the vet?

Re: sick through the night!
I spoke to soon ... after feeding Lucy scrambled egg she slept a little then was sick
Lucy won't entertain water, so I have been wiping her mouth to freshen her a little.
She was looking out of the window 2hrs ago perched on my grandsons shoulder and now is fast asleep across his chest.
I will offer her cod and rice as no chicken is defrosted at the moment around 6-ish,"but I will not push her into eating".
I will definitely be seeing the vet on Monday if she doesn't get any better and sooner it she gets worse.

Re: sick through the night!
Hi Inez Maria
Lucy had 3 bowel movements today, first 2 were normal, number 3 was very very soft/ a little loose but still keeping its shape.
She didn't have to run outside - just messed on my command.
At 6 pm she started to sniff about in the kitchen so I cooked her a small portion of the fish and rice. She turned her nose up at it straight away so I left her to it. Because I ignored her she went back and started to eat - lol
Now at 7.30pm she is trying to rip apart her toy pulling it all around the room.
I'm hoping she will have a good night sleep so it will give her chance to recoup a little more.

Re: sick through the night!
Hello, "Yes" I'm all smiles
Lucy tucked herself between my husband and myself and slept all through the night.
She has had her breakfast and played with her toys a little, but mostly she is on our knees wanting to fall asleep.
I think she is still in a bit of shock with being sick constantly through Saturday night - I'm thinking;her stomach muscles may be a bit tender?
I still cannot forget the terrifying look she gave me when she was heaving, it was awful, I so wanted to grab hold and console her.
So today its going to be full on " Lucy's Day" Lots of love and cuddles.
((( Thank you for showing your concerned for her )))

Re: sick through the night!
I hope Lucy has a better day today, when Rocky is sick we would starve him for a day until tummy is settled. Ginger chews are good for up set tummies if you can get hold of some
