up all night being sick
Hi everyone was woken up this morning at 2am by sasha being violently sick she also has diarrhoea just like water. She ate her food as usual yesterday morning and everything was normal. I went to pets at home to look at buying her a coat as its getting colder now thought I would get her a bone treat. It was a white bone with chicken stuff in the centre a bit like a marrow bone. Which I gave her and she really liked it when I fed her last night she left half of her food which although unusual thought she may not be hungry. The last time she was sick was at about 6am and refused her breakfast too. She was sick 5 or 6 times surely the treat couldn't have made her so ill or perhaps shes picked up a bug or something from outside. Shes still drinking well but isnt her normal energetic self

Poor Sasha probably the bone I would imagine. Some dogs cant eat chicken Vinnie cant it really upsets his tum. I would starve her for today but if you do feed her something bland. Hope she will be back to normal soon

She has chicken mince and chicken breast mixed in with her dry food which is chicken and rice a couple of times a week but maybe it wasn't proper chicken !!!

Re: up all night being sick
Do you have any Kaogel? If you do, give her a dose now & another before bed & see if it helps. Starve her for the rest of the day & then try & tempt her with a couple of boiled eggs in the morning. If she's no better, or if she gets any worse then speak to your vets.
For the record, the bones that you describe can be quite dangerous - they're cooked & can splinter.

Thanks everyone will take your advice and not give her anything today and then try the eggs in the morning. We were with her when she was chewing on the bone and really just licked the stuff out of the middle then we took the bone away as soon as she lost interest. Im not convinced it was a proper bone anyway it didnt feel much like a bone was kinda smooth and shiny ???

Poor Sasha! I hope she gets better soon! As said above, stave her for the rest of the day. Also instead of plain water, boil some rice and give her the water used for boiling the rice. It helped us when Nana ate a clothespin -yes a clothespin- and she had an acute diarrhoea. Nana's vet recommended it

Awww poor Sasha, hope she feels better soon xx
I think I know what bones you mean, I've not used them but agree they don't look like real bone! I used to buy the stuffed cooked bones from there until I found out on here that you shouldn't feed cooked bones!

Re: up all night being sick
Hi Sazzle she is back to normal now thank goodness and eating well. It must be something that pets at home put in their own brand stuff. Will just keep to what I know in future and give her selected fruit for a snack inbetween meals. The The reason why I gave it to begin with is that I have switched her to having 2 meals a day now that she is 6 months and I thought that she might be getting hungry inbetween meals as its a long time and ive started feeding breakfast around 9am rather than 6am as usual. Thanks for the advice as always xx
