Help is my Staffy pure breed

Hi I got him 3 days ago he is 6 month old with no training I know a little how to make him behave I have adopted the waterbottle spray to tell him when he is being naughty and when he is good he gets treats.

The lady I got him off was disgusting and really wasn't fit for a dog never mind a human, she hadn't had him long and she told me he was a pure staffy, he is around 18 inch tall  and very childish.







What do you guys reckon

Im no expert, but i would say he is a cross of some sort. Seems to slim and his head is kinda long. I could be wrong but without papers you will never know. Also id say he is a bit tall at 6months. Some1 that has a better idea will be along soon.

thank you he is alittle skinny as the other owner didnt really look after him that well and his nails were long and sharp so he not been walked much .

Aw he is gorgeous! He looks kind of similar to Bane's build, a bit taller and slimmer than the typical Staffy. They are constantly changing shape as they grow but as said before you won't know unless you have papers.
Never the less you have a gorgeous pup

He's beautiful, I'm rubbish at guessing crosses

Some of them stop looking like staffies for a while whilst there in the growing process, I'm no expert but it looks like a cross body looks staff but head doesn't but that may change as he grows, I'm sure you'll treat him well no matter what

He does look slim and long, I'm useless at guessing crosses too, sorry   

Staffs change so much during the first 12 months its hard to tell.

Poor baby already been through so much at such a young age.

I would say he probably has a bit of something else in him, he is gorgeous though   

without the correct paper work you will never know,so glad you rescued him,i'm sure you'll love him no matter what he is   

So glad he's got you now    He looks very thin but obviously that's because he's been underfed. We went through phases of thinking 'what exactly are ours?!' while they were growing! As said above they change shape and size. He is gorgeous xx

Very cute but without papers (assuming you haven't got any) you will never prove one way or other Xx

He's a lovely pup and although it could well be that another breed has been mixed in there at some point, I'm sure you'll love him no less for that.

At some point you'll be told that (or asked if) he is Long-legged Irish Staffy!   

I would just suggest though that you abandon the water-bottle punishment as it hasn't been proved to have good results and may make the puppy fearful. A low-voiced but not shouty "No" will give better results once he realises what "No" means.
