Short hair patches
Was hoping for some help and advice, both Thor and Rogue have developed short hair patches directly in the middle of there heads between there ears, the patches are about the size of a thumb nail, they dont seem to bother them but just seemed strange that they both had them?? any ideas??
Also, Rogue has a bald patch on the side of her face, about the size of a 10p coin, again it does not bother her, no scratching etc, thought it may have been due to play fighting with Thor but it has not got any better i.e returned hair growth. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

no itching or scratching, they are both at the vet next week and both parents were blue, im aware of colour dilution alopecia but dont think it is this as Thor displays a healthy coat with no other patches elsewhere.

Re: Short hair patches
Could just be from playing or just thin fur, Darcy's practically naked on her chest and backside even the vet said "she's bald" mentionit to the vet Hun when you go, they might do skin scales to rule out demodex

Re: Short hair patches
Is it possible they both been playing in a area that could have caused this? Good luck at the vets.

Re: Short hair patches
It could well be that there is something in the garden that has caused it, we are at the vets today so hopefully will get some answers :-)

Re: Short hair patches
Rockys hair is quite fine on his head too, if he catches the sunlight sometimes it looks like he has bald patches.

Re: Short hair patches
Just an update for you all... The vet says the little patch on Thor's head is completely normal she sees it all the time so he is totally fine. Rogue on the other hand, may have a number of things but the vet seems to think its allergies, and has recommended keeping her out of the garden for a few weeks, and not giving any treats just sticking to her normal food to see if there is any improvements, if not they will look at other things and take skin samples etc, or perhaps prescribe her antihistimines, So I guess only time will tell! Fingers crossed we find what it is!
