It was a cancerous lump
Poor Mimi's lump was a cancerous mass I don't know much about cancer in dogs so I'm going to have a read now and find some info. Going to concentrate on getting her better from her op now and looking after her. Will be checking her for lumps and odd behaviour too from now on. Just can't believe it was cancerous. I think I knew deep down. At least it's off her now.
As for her recovery, she's doing better, the wound has come apart in the middle slightly and we have some stuff to clean it and give her till she heals. The vet said it was because they had to take so much tissue away that it's taking so long to heal. She's eating and drinking now and her whole demeanour is so much better. She's trying to dive everywhere again and we have her personality back. Now to let her heal and give her a long and good life with luck!

Re: It was a cancerous lump
Aww Emma I'm so sorry but as you said it's off her now has the vet said if she'll need anymore treatment? Or was surgery enough? We have some members who've been though this too so they'll be able to offer more advice

Re: It was a cancerous lump
yes they said they'd removed all of it so hopefully that's it with her. she just needs to heal now and build herself back up, she seems so much better today I think the morphine was making her ill.
