Mario, Staffie, DOB 2010 – Guildford, Surrey


Homing Requirements: Mario needs an experienced family to support him settling into his new home and territory. He can get over excited especially when he doesn't know what is expected of him but with clear, calm messaging he will listen and obeys. Still in assessment around other dogs and unassessed in a home environment. Mario will need to be homed as an only pet.

His Story: Mario got his chance because another dog that we were due to take was reclaimed so the pound staff selected Mario to take up the rescue place offer. He is settling within the kennel environment however it is hard for him. Mario is neutered, chipped and vax'd and in boarding kennels near Guildford, Surrey.

Advert: Mario has high energy and gives the impression that he raises his energy level in an attempt to impress. Mario isn't destructive in his kennel and given a chance to settle he will respect his owner and learn to please. He falls in walking alongside other dogs but we haven't tested him with/around off lead dogs. He has been under-socialised and needs to build confidence but is innately a good boy. Mario travels well crated in a car.

Mario is a smallish slender frame Staffie with a peach brindle coat and mouse brown ears. He is in good health and has gained needed weight since arriving. He gets hyped in the kennel when people are around and can lead play with the prospect of a walk so has 2 people to support him initially and settle quickly once away from the kennels.

Please note that this dog is currently in boarding kennels and is also available for foster until a 'forever' home is found.

We found out from Harry's microchip that he was actually called Mario so we have started to use that as his name instead.
