Gucchi, Staffie X, DOB 07 – Guildford, Surrey


Homing Requirements: Gucchi is Staffie owner's girl. Gucchi can manage a complex home: Kids; Cats; Caged small furries and another dog.  She has good recall and can be left short periods but may whimper protest especially as an only dog: She needs an inclusive family with awareness to support her being left & she finds meeting dogs outside sometime challenging.

Her Story: Gucchi has passed through many hands and came to us via a police officer concerned as her owner admitted he couldn't afford to feed her. Gucchi was fostered with another dog, a 6 year old child and manages to ignore a pet rabbit in it's hutch. Homed with children but owners find her need for company a concern. She is now neutered, chipped and vax'd. Still with her family but coming in to kennels end of November.

Advert: Gucchi is small and beautiful. She is very compact and well proportioned. She smiles and lights up to your smile.  She can be left short periods but would prefer a family who can offer her companionship. Easy to manage on the lead and was an off lead dog with her original family but now can get concerned and need supervision and 'keep moving' to support her dog encounters outside. Inside she has accepted living with terriers!

Gucchi is a truly wonderful Staffie x with a longish brindle coat with bright eyes and a pretty nose!  She came in underweight but she flourished with good food. We were told she was 8 years old but our vet says definitely more like 4 years. She lived with a terrier for 2 years and was happily fostered with another terrier. Really special.

An update from one of our volunteer walkers:

"Gucci and I had some fun time today.  Firstly, we spent some time in the paddock and she let her hair down playing fetch.  Gucci didn't seem to understand drop, until a second ball was thrown, and she dutifully released the ball and bounded off after the second one!  We then went for a short walk in her new neighbourhood, where we discovered several trees down, which she gracefully hopped over.  We did a spot of jogging too, and she tried to raise the pace when we came across a cat!!  Cheeky!

Gucci is a darling dog, with a fun labrador feel about her.
