What do your dogs do in the day?

So I work from home and get to spend all day with Bane...I do actually have to do some work, so can't play with him all the time...when I am not paying attention to him, he seems pretty boring

He sleeps, has breakfast, sleeps, goes for a walk then doesn't really do anything in the afternoon. He has a wander around, sniffs a bit at his toys and that's about it. Are all dogs pretty boring?
He doesn't really play unless it involves food or I sit and play with him. The only thing he seems interested in is causing mischief! He likes to sneak upstairs and run around like a nutter, or pinch the socks off the radiator a few times. Has an afternoon nap, Lunch, then another walk when OH is home later. Dinner, and falls asleep on us on the sofa.

What do your dogs and pups do during the day if you are at home? Are they quite lazy and sleep lots or do they entertain themselves?

I'm also lucky enough to work from home and my two will play until about 9am and then sleep til around 2pm!

Ooo yes, Steve, they love watching out the window/door!

Vin is usually asleep as I have walked his legs off or looking out the window.   

Calvin mostly sleeps, though he does amuse himself if im not playing with him by chewing his toys or throwing then pouncing on them

Rocky goes out for his morning walk comes home then has a cuddle on my lap for about half an hour then goes to bed until about lunchtime, luckily I also work from home. We have our afternoon walk then home, another cuddle and a snooze then has his dinner, guess what..................................... another cuddle and snooze.

Rolo has his early morning walk or we go for a run, then home for breakfast, then its Chew time normally the stag bar but sometimes just a squeeze of the Kong.  When i go to work he'll curl up in his cage and listen to the radio or if i'm about the house then he likes to curl up on the sofa watching tv.  His afternoons are generally follow me around with a squeaky toy till I cave and take him out for the afternoon walk or he comes out to work with me :)then it's back to his usual position on the sofa on his back with his legs in the air only moving for his dinner  Lazy pooch!

If we're at home during the morning, they chase round causing mischief wherever they can, following us around, trying to trip us up on the stairs. If we're at home during the afternoon as well, the same thing continues. Then they fall asleep after their tea-time run. If we're at work, we come home at lunchtime and they've slept all morning. If we're at work in the afternoon, they play a bit together. They are then a lot more lively on an evening. Today we've been at work - us coming home at lunchtime woke them up! Then we got home again at 4 - they had a lot of toys out but basically had been good. They had an hours run in the field, came home, had their tea, played tug, and now they're curled up in front of the fire. They'll go to bed (our bed!!) about 10pm.

On my days off Nico likes his cuddles in the morning and falls asleep on me after his morning walk. Follows me about and snoozes alternatively until afternoon then  it's kong or play time for bout half an hour, tends to want another playtime for a wee while later on in the evening just before he settles down for snoozing on the sofa about 9 ish. So yeah, he's pretty lazy I'd say!

Daisy sleeps alot but also like to look out the window, or she'll chew one of her toys or treats!

Haha what hard lives they all have! Maybe that means when he grows up a bit I will be able to work more!
At the moment I am just up and down chucking toys and trying to keep him entertained!...Our front window is right on the road, so maybe I will have to make him a peep hole through the curtains so he can watch whats going on and spy on the neighbours ;D

Oh he'll love spying on the neighbours. have you tried a anger dog chew or stuffed kong to help you get work done

Everyday is different, some days Jed sleeps most of the day and i have to coax him to play. Usually he wakes up, goes outside and sleeps until breakfast time, then he might have a play or a run around the garden or follow the cat everywhere if she is around, sleep until lunch, another sleep then a big play. Sleep again until dinner a little play then a sleep, then a big play and gets up to mischief for a little while then will sleep on couch next to me until it is time for bed

Hayley: Ye we have a couple rolling around but he's gotten pretty Kong savvy and manages to get anything out within about 20 minutes...even frozen in banana! o.o He also has a stag bar and some tough dried beef treats, I just feel bad leaving him with them all day...I guess it's food though I'm sure he doesn't mind

No he probabley won't mind how about a kong wobbler? Although darcy doesn't bother with hers xx

Ooo yeah they always looked fun!

Pixee is lazy in the mornings, sleeps on our bed till around 10am, then its walk time and home for breakfast. Depending on where the sun is shining through, she will sleep where she finds the sun, otherwise you will find her in her fav chair in the conney watching the world go by, conney is at front of house, so she can watch the canal boats, walkers and dogs and watch me come and go in the car. My office is upstairs, she will sometimes sit on the spare chair and look out the window, or pest me for a fuss, I am always finding odd socks all over the house. If shes awake she will play with her boomer ball. If I go downstairs, and Pixee is upstiars in one of the beds, I will nearly get knocked flying down the stairs   . Afternoon walk followed by play and a nap. She lives up alot around 6pm and plays till 9pm then a short walk, and she settles down for the night, on her chair in the lounge with us till we go to bed.

Lol. Mine do pretty much just what you said, but Frosty likes to growl at the birds, bark at the cats and then go back to sleep. Lol. Piggie is a one walk a day gal and prefers to sleep unless food is involved. She does switch up her sleeping spots though...lol.

Banes wakes me at about 7, so then it's toilet and food, lots of running round house/garden, I leave back door open so he can run in and out. About 9 it's a walk and play (about an hour or maybe longer) back home and snooze and hugs, 3:30 food, then kong for 30mins or so, then a rest in crate (his choice) sniff around then about 6:30 another walk 30-60 mins then home and hugs and playing. Ps he does try through out the day to have a chew on some ones ears lol,
If he ain't had a walk by 7:30 he sits by the living room door or at my feet waging his tail, no getting out of it for me lol.

When I'm not working....
8.40am is wake up and straight out for a walk around the park at the back for toilets. Home for breakfast, Ledger will curl up on my knee for 20mins or so then take himself back upstairs he likes to sleep on the bed in the front room and have caught him snooping out of the window

11am ish is ball chasing time in the park he tells me when he's had enough by standing up on his back legs. Then home to sleep again

Afternoon walks vary then tea at 5pm and last walk between 7_9 depending if I go to the gym. Randomly he will empty his toy bucket or decide he wants to play fetch at home

Biscuit doesn't get out of bed until she hears the food bowl clang! Max runs around the house like a mad thing first thing.. Out in the garden for wees and then kongs for breakfast! Another bathroom break then they play while I work.. Then it's Max's hour walk, then biscuits hour walk.. They sleep while I work. Then oh gets home so they smother him for a bit. Then dinner time, then play in the garden, and sofa snuggles until bed time. If biscuits on her own she just snuggles and sleeps all day x

Well at our place it works like this....Morning 6.00 am Nikola (Baby's daddy) gets up to go to work, i get up to go on a short walk with her. We come back home-do a little nap time together. I wake up,make some tea,and breakfast for Baby and me-she wakes up and eats,then sleeps again for 2-3hours,then we go on a "big" walk for a couple of hours in the afternoon, come back home,make something to eat. Daddy comes home-she goes crazy out of joy-we eat,we go all together for a walk,come back home and sleep again...And tomorrow all over again
