Have you tried clipping her lead and collar on to keep her calm, and ask everyone to ignore her Smile

Keep her on lead/use a baby gate, they learn fast if you are consistent and firm with what is/ is not allowed.

Nice to hear from you Xx

Don't give up Caroline! She's a Staffy - adores humans and wants to love them all! And excitement goes to their head like champagne.

My boy is the same and if my visitors can't cope with being loved to bits, then he goes on a controlled lead. If the visitor ignores him, he settles down (he may not understand why they don't love him as much as he loves them, but he eventually gets the message).

Hi sasha was the most excitable puppy I had ever seen she even used to wee all over visitors shoes and laps if they weren't quik enough. Someone on the forum gave me the advice to put her lead on her and keep her close. We find that if we put Sasha's harness on she calms instantly we found this by accident.  We had visitors this afternoon as soon as we put on the harness she sat quietly and got lots of strokes and cuddles and she hardly ever wees over people now either.  Obviously after the visitors left we had to honour it with a walk that she had patiently waited for xx

We only invite people round if we know they love dogs and don't mind being trampled for 20 minutes111! A 'friend' came round last year, told us how to train a dog, and I haven't invited her back yet..... (probably won't ever)
