Warning for those walking dogs in Peterborough

I got followed last night by a very strange chap at Orton Mere, though nothing ultimately came of it. Bit disconcerting though.

I was told this morning by a friend that a woman walking a dog a few hundred yards up from there, in a field outside of Orton Mere, was attacked and knocked unconscious, but her dog ran off and managed to find its way home.

Just a heads up as there was a spate of muggings for dogs in the city not that long ago.

Just read the diary entry Keith, have you informed anyone about this incident ? Maybe let the local dog warden know and possibly the police too. Is there anywhere else you can walk that isn't so exposed ?

Not informed anyone, Kathy, no.
I expect the incident with the woman will be in the local paper tomorrow - they're pretty proactive with this sort of thing.

I don't usually walk there - we just ended up on a very long walkies last night.

That's awful that poor woman thank goodness her baby found it's way home so happy you and yours are ok Keith, be safe out there guys.

That poor woman! I'm so glad the dog got away its frightening. Its not near me but take care everyone in that area, hope they catch him.

Hi, i have read your diary, sounds very scary, I dont like the evening walk as it is now is dark so this will keep me on my toes even more, Oh says Ozz is enough to keep these kind of people away from me but you never know!!!!!
