Barking at a.....BEE Empty Barking at a.....BEE

Got up this morning.....same as usual. Got Roxy out of the laundry ( this is HER bedroom, nice and snug with her bed and blanket, and cuddly toy Laughing ) Took her outside to do her business, had a quick play and then came inside for my morning shower. Anyway, when I got dressed I could hear her barking so went to see what was bothering her.
Looking out of the window it looked like she was just barking at the brick wall ...hmmmmmm confused but when I went out, she was actually barking at a BEE Surprised
Seriously Roxy, it's a teenie-tiny insect, and you have to bark at it ???????? Laughing

Does your dog react to things like this????

Bodhi barked at and then ate a bee the other day, was so paranoid that he had been stung so was watching his tongue and throat all day for swelling, sure he would have yelped if he had been though, we also bark at birds, slugs and worms and sometimes nothing at all??? Big Grin

She probably knew it was going to sting her! Or that she couldnt catch it! My girls bark at anything that might hurt them, bees, wasps, hedgehogs. I think because they feel put out at not being able to put it in their mouth! Skibadee though is obsessed with anything small and flying, moths and flies being her favourite. If you try and sit down with a fly in the room she stands on her back legs of the couch barking and making this unholy, strangled, crying sound until you swat them outside!

Awww, gotta love each and every one of them, and there little quirks Love Struck

Roxy loves to chase insects of all kinds, but never usually barks at them until this morning.
Mind you....she does bark at the cats, the broom, the mop

I think the only reason they bark at them is because they have been stupid enough to try and pick one up before and it hurt!!
