A lot of Staffs have very thin hair, Moo has virtually none on her belly! And as for barking, again mine rarely barks, she will very occasionally. There all different I guess! Xx

lemmy never really barks either i think its cos theyre not really guard dogs they get used to people coming and going and so never give it a 2nd thought. lemmy is also bald. he has little to no hair at the backs of his ears on the inside of his legs and round his grown area. what he does have on his belly is thin. he has always been like that i think thats why almost everyone on here were buying coats for their dogs. so long as there is no medical reason for the lack of hair it is nothing to worry about

Staffs have very short coats & there are several places where the hair is virtually non existent! As long as the skin is smooth & healthy it's fine.

Bandit never used to bark. I think Dempsey (my EBT) has barked more in his 2 & a half years than Bandit did in his entire life!!

Same here with Dora. She barks more than I would like Straight Face We live in a terrace so she can often here the neighbours etc, I worry about the noise she is making - she sounds very loud! I think she has also taken to barking at birds!

My old boy diesel was scared to bark we rescued him and he was punished for barking by his old owners :@ plus many other things! .. So he was Afraid to bark, one day he let out a lil yap at 2years old and we played about hen he dis it i.e we would go yaaay and fuss him to show him he has no need to be afraid to use his voice .. He then strut around the roo
wagging his tail letting out lil barks lol .. It was teary to say the least lol.
But like said above not all dogs bark etc, a big dogs bark may scare a little dog so they find it scary.
Vinnie barks when he guards an when he see's a cat and it used to scare skye and she used to hide on my lap .. But now she will run up behined him and give her side of the story too lol!!.

As for hair, my old boy and vinnie both had/have bare tummys and inside of the back legs lol and lil on ears .. Skye however is hairy all over lol .. All diff for diff dogs Smile

River is bald around her belly and right behind the ears, River was also scared to bark, she would start shaking when she went to bark. the first time she did * more like a yap..she looked around after as if to say what the chuff was that.. after giving her fuss etc she now dont really bark.. she only barks when she either needs the toilet or wants to play. i think barking wears them out to be honest after a little play we had earlier after her doing about 7 barks then having a game of fetch..well her chasing and me trying to teach the drop command she is now asleep under the table. lol.. all perfectly normal i reckon.

Tinker doesn't really bark either, she lets out all manner of noises. My mam and dad visited us over christmas and she made some very strange noises to get their attention, certainly worked because they were fascinated with the noises she could make Laughing She scares herself when she barks though, and looks round to see where the noise came from. She only ever barks when she needs a wee and we haven't seen her at the door and then it is just one bark and a load of whines, crying, chattering etc!

And she too is bald around the ears, more so in front of the ears, and also on her belly and the inside of her back legs!

sasha only barks when she in play mode, when some one knocks the door she makes a terrible crying noise, sounds like she's being tourtured!as for them lacking hair it def a staff thing, she has only got a little bit behind her ears, arm pits and her belly, you can see why they need to get under the covers at night Rolling Eyes !

Zac is still a baby and finding his voice. He has done a few little proper barks and some half bark/half whine lol. He doesn't bark when someone comes to the door, he just wags his tail in the hope of getting a fuss ha ha Smile
